​The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy at Schiller International University is a comprehensive program designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in global affairs. Over 40 months (4 years), students earn 120 American credits (equivalent to 240 ECTS), with courses conducted in English across campuses in Madrid, Paris, Heidelberg, and online. ​


Program Curriculum:


The curriculum is meticulously crafted to provide a solid foundation in international relations and diplomacy, integrating both theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Key components include:​

  • General Education Courses: These courses aim to enhance critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills. Subjects include Behavioral Psychology and Wellbeing, English Composition, Public Speaking, Foreign Languages, European Modern History, and Introduction to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. ​
  • Core Courses: Focused on essential disciplines within international relations and diplomacy, these courses cover Ethics and Law in International Business, Communication and Negotiation Skills, Statistics, Multinational Enterprise, Resources and the Environment, Monetary Theory and Comparative Banking, Economics of Developing Countries, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Cross-Cultural Communication, Modern Diplomacy, American Foreign Policy, and Concepts in International Relations and Diplomacy.
  • Capstone Project: Students undertake a comprehensive final thesis/project, divided into two parts, allowing them to apply their acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios and demonstrate their analytical and research skills. ​

Conditions d'admission

​To join the Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy program at Schiller International University, follow these steps:​


1. Submit the Application Form:

  • Online Application: Complete and submit the online application form available on the university's website. ​


2. Provide Required Documentation:


  • Educational Credentials: Submit official high school transcripts indicating your graduation date or an official GED transcript. If your education was completed outside the U.S., provide proof of secondary education completion, such as the Abitur, Baccalauréat, International Baccalaureate (IB), or equivalent qualifications. ​
  • Proof of English Proficiency: Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following standardized tests:​
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80.​
  • TOEIC: Minimum score of 650.​
  • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0.​
  • Duolingo English Test: Score of at least 95.​
  • Pearson English Test (PTE): GSE score of 59 or higher.​

Proof of English proficiency may be waived for students who have graduated from a secondary school where English is the language of instruction or the country's official language. ​


  • Identification: Provide a copy of your valid passport or legal ID. ​


3. Complete Pre-Interview Requirements:

  • Online Readiness Test (ORT): Complete the ORT to assess your preparedness for online components of the program. ​


4. Participate in the Admissions Interview:

  • Interview: Engage in an interview with an admissions representative to discuss your educational and professional goals and assess program suitability. ​


5. Receive Acceptance Package:

  • Conditional Offer: Upon acceptance, you'll receive a conditional offer letter along with an invoice for the first semester’s tuition.​
  • Payment: After tuition payment, you'll receive the official acceptance letter and acceptance package.


6. Confirm Enrollment:

  • Enrollment Agreement: Sign and submit the enrollment agreement to finalize your enrollment.​


It's advisable to apply at least four months before your intended start date to ensure sufficient time for application processing and, if necessary, visa arrangements.​
