How does Lola decide?
PrePeers recommends schools and careers for you.
You deserve to know exactly how — and why.
Lola is not magic. She is methodical.
Lola does not pull her recommendations out of a hat. She analyses what you tell her, cross-references it with thousands of student profiles who made similar choices to yours, and calculates a compatibility score for each school or career.
Here is how she works, with no filter.
What is the best path for you?
Lola analyzes your profile in 3 minutes and recommends the schools and careers that best align with your profile ✨
- 3 min
- 100% free
- Compatibility score
Step 1 — She listens to what you tell her
Every time you answer Lola, you build your profile. She analyses:
- Your personality: your values, how you work, what motivates or bores you (MBTI test and personality traits)
- Your concrete preferences: desired city, pace (work-study or full-time), budget, length of studies
- Your red lines: what you categorically refuse (500-seat lectures, 100% theory, too far from home…)
- Your fears: fear of choosing the wrong path, getting into debt, being bored
- Your ambitions: the careers that attract you, the sectors that excite you
The more you talk to Lola, the more accurate her recommendations become. That is why your profile shows a completion percentage — not to pressure you, but because the remaining 20% really makes a difference to the quality of what she suggests.
Step 2 — She calculates a compatibility score
It breaks down into 4 criteria you can see by clicking "Why this score?":
- Geographic criteria: is the school in a city you mentioned?
- Teaching approach: does the format match how you learn (projects, classes, work-study)?
- Budget: are tuition fees compatible with what you told us?
- Profile: do students who succeed at this school have a profile similar to yours?
Each criterion is weighted according to what you set as a priority. If you told us geography was your number one criterion, it counts more in the calculation.
Step 3 — She filters, she does not just list
Lola has access to more than 25,000 programmes in France and abroad. She does not show you all of them, but suggests 3 to 5 truly relevant options.
Why this choice? Because a list of 200 results does not help you decide. It paralyses you. Our belief is that good guidance relies on fewer choices, better explained.
If you want to explore further, you can complete your profile, change your criteria or ask Lola questions directly.
What Lola does not do
Lola does not favour a school because it pays more.
Schools that appear in your results have not bought their place. The compatibility score is calculated by an algorithm independent of PrePeers' commercial model. A school that is not a PrePeers partner can appear in your results if it matches your profile. A partner school that does not match your profile will not appear.
That is our red line. We do not cross it, because if Lola recommends schools that do not suit you, she loses all usefulness. And PrePeers goes down with her.
What happens when you click "Contact"
You decide when a school receives your profile. Not Lola automatically, not PrePeers in the background.
When you click "Contact" on a school:
- PrePeers sends your enriched profile to that school (personality, preferences, project)
- The school contacts you directly — usually within 48 hours
- You can withdraw your consent and request deletion of your data at any time
Your profile may be sent to several schools only if you clicked "Contact" for each of them. We do not sell your profile on the fly.
Your rights over your data
You have the right to:
- View all data Lola has collected about you (from your profile, "My data" tab)
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your profile and all your data at any time — in one click, permanently
- Download your profile as a PDF to use as you wish (Parcoursup application, CV, interview)
- Withdraw your consent from a school you have already contacted

Why we tell you all this
Because Lola asks you about what really matters to you: your fears, your ambitions, how you are. That is not trivial. You deserve to know exactly what we do with it.
And because we believe trust is built by showing how things work — not by hoping no one asks the question.
